The Egyptian government has given the green light to the establishment of the YADA Egypt free zone in New Alamein City. This ambitious project, backed by a €70 million investment, aims to revitalize the furniture industry and create significant job opportunities.
The free zone will be located in New Alamein City and will focus on the furniture industry. It is expected to create 1,320 jobs, with workers housed in the city itself. The annual production capacity of the zone is projected to reach a staggering 40 million pieces of furniture.
A key goal of the project is to export 100% of the production, with local inputs contributing between 40% and 80% of the total. This strategy aims to boost Egypt’s export earnings and strengthen its position in the global furniture market.
