Egypt Smashes Guinness World Records by Establishing the World’s Biggest Date Palm Farm

Guinness World Records Adjudicator, Kanzy Emad El Defrawy, announced on Sunday, May 14, that Egypt entered Guinness World Record by establishing the world’s largest date palm farm on an area of 132,137 square kilometers and a water intake basin with a capacity reaching some 245,000 cubic meters.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and several state-senior officials attended the inauguration ceremony.

During the inauguration ceremony of the wheat harvest season and a pre-fried potatoes factory in East Oweinat, the New Valley Governorate, she said that Egypt broke the Guinness record on that score for the first time.
