Egypt seeks to foster investments, promote industry, exports: labor minister

Egypt is keen to encourage investment, support industry and exports, and create a favorable business climate, according to Labor Minister Mohamed Gobran.

According to MENA, the minister made the remarks Tuesday during his tour of a jasmine and perfume factory in Gharbia governorate.

The factory, where some 4,000 farmers work to produce 6,000 tons a year, contributes to covering 60% of global manufacturing needs.

He also added that the state is dedicated to fostering a conducive business climate by actively promoting investment opportunities and providing support to local industries and export enterprises. Labor Minister Mohamed Gobran emphasized the country’s commitment to creating a favorable business climate.

During the visit, the minister met with Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsi and Gharbia Governor Ashraf El Gendy to discuss ways to encourage investments and remove all obstacles and challenges that may hinder the local perfume industry.

They also checked on the factory’s production progress, reaffirming President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to remove all obstacles to encourage investments, support the domestic industry, and create proper job opportunities.
