Egyptian cinema is set to make remarkable presence at the 35th Arab Film Festival in France, scheduled to take place from October 3rd to 13th. The festival will showcase a diverse selection of Egyptian films, including feature films, short films, and documentaries.

Among the Egyptian films selected for the festival are:

  • A Nose and Three Eyes: A contemporary adaptation of the classic novel by Ihsan Abdel Quddous, directed by Amir Ramses and starring Dhafer L’Abidine, Saba Mubarak, and Salma Abu-Deif.
  • The Brink of Dreams: A documentary that follows an all-female theatre troupe in Upper Egypt, aiming to raise awareness about social issues. The film won the Golden Eye Documentary Prize at the 77th Cannes Film Festival

This year’s edition of the festival, with Jordan as the guest of honor, will feature a total of 40 films, including feature films, short films, documentaries, and animated films.

The festival will also host industry-related events such as panel discussions, workshops, and Q&A sessions with filmmakers. These events provide a valuable platform for filmmakers to network, share their experiences, and learn from industry experts.

As Egypt continues to make significant strides in the world of cinema, its participation in the Arab Film Festival in Fameck is a testament to the country’s growing influence and the quality of filmmaking.
