In response to the recent assassination, Egypt strongly criticized the current escalation of Israeli policies and cautioned about the consequences of violating state sovereignty and carrying out assassinations.
Egypt Today reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the UN Security Council and powerful international bodies to intervene and prevent the current dangerous escalation in the Middle East to prevent security conditions from spiraling out of control.
The statement pointed out that the escalation coincided with the deadlock in ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, highlighting the lack of Israeli political willingness to seek peace.
The ministry regretted that the recent escalation undermined the efforts made by Egypt and its partners to bring an end to the conflict in Gaza and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
