Egypt Denounces the Bombing of Yet Another School in Gaza

Egypt strongly condemned the Israeli airstrike on the At-Tabe’een School in the n the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, which resulted in the death of over 100 Palestinians and left dozens wounded.

The Foreign Ministry of Egypt stated yesterday, August 10, that Cairo denounces Israel’s continued attacks on civilians in Gaza, which violate international law and international humanitarian law.

Egypt’s statement moved on to call for a unified and effective international response to protect the Palestinian people in Gaza and to stop the targeting of innocent civilians.

Egypt further emphasized its commitment to diplomatic efforts and extensive contacts with influential international parties to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and to reach a ceasefire agreement.

The targeted school, which was sheltering displaced families, was struck by Israeli warplanes during the dawn prayers. Local sources informed WAFA that the airstrike occurred in the early morning, targeting the school while its occupants were gathering for their morning prayers.

To date, the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has led to 39,699 documented Palestinian fatalities, predominantly women and children, along with 91,722 injuries.

Thousands of victims are believed to be trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
