Dalia Ibrahim Appointed to Advisory Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Committee

Dalia Ibrahim has been selected as a member of the Advisory Committee for Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, one of six committees formed by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly to strengthen collaboration between the government and the private sector.

Assuming this position,  Dalia has an opportunity to provide strategic insights  aimed at advancing the entrepreneurship sector, a key driver of  youth empowerment.

“I am excited to make a meaningful impact and work alongside esteemed colleagues to build a thriving digital economy and a dynamic entrepreneurship ecosystem,” said Ibrahim.

In addition to this significant role, Dalia Ibrahim was recently recognized by Forbes Middle East Magazine as one of the top 100 businesswomen in the Middle East for 2024. This prestigious acknowledgment highlights her exceptional achievements and contributions to education, publishing, entrepreneurship, and community development. Ibrahim’s career spans several decades, beginning in 1994 at Nahdet Misr Publishing House, where she helped co-found various ventures, including Nahdet Misr Digital Solutions, Nahdet Misr Advertising, Nahdet Misr Periodicals, and Nahdet Misr Trading & Distribution.

Since becoming CEO of Nahdet Misr Publishing House in 2011, Dalia has led transformative changes, propelling the company into a global leader in learning and capability-building solutions. In 2017, she founded EdVentures, the MENA region’s first venture capital firm focused on supporting EdTech and cultural innovation startups. Further expanding her impact, she established Ta’heal in 2021, a service provider specializing in vocational education aimed at improving workforce quality.

Dalia has been honored with numerous accolades, including Top 50 Women Forum, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan “Women in Leadership and Entrepreneurship” award in 2023, and the Lifetime Achievement award at the Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF). Her continued influence extends to mentoring young entrepreneurs through her roles on boards such as Endeavor Egypt and Tiye Angels, as well as serving as a consultant for Canon’s Future Book Forum in Europe.
