Amira El Gamal

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in cooperation with the National Council for Women (NCWC), has organized a specialized training program for women on the use of artificial intelligence tools in the workplace and awareness of related digital risks. The program is held as part of the “Digital Citizenship and Online Safety” initiative. The training included an introduction to artificial intelligence and its various applications in the workplace, along with a review of key risks associated with the use of these technologies, including data leakage, algorithmic bias, and over-reliance on intelligent systems. This contributes to raising participants’ awareness of the safe and responsible use of modern technology.

The training also highlighted methods for protecting personal and professional data while using AI tools, safe ways to interact with digital applications, and how to benefit from these technologies without compromising digital security or privacy requirements.

The program aims to empower women digitally and enhance their ability to use artificial intelligence tools responsibly in the workplace. This supports the state’s efforts to build digital capabilities, raise awareness of challenges linked to modern technologies, and contribute to providing a safe and sustainable working environment for women.

The program is part of MCIT’s efforts to support digital transformation and promote public awareness of the safe use of technology, especially among groups that need digital awareness, including children, youth, and women. The “Digital Citizenship and Online Safety” initiative is a national program launched by MCIT to enhance digital awareness across different segments of society and enable the effective and safe use of digital tools. It aligns with national efforts to advance digital transformation and human development. The initiative includes the @TAG knowledge platform, which provides Arabic educational content tailored to specific target groups. It aims to promote responsible technology use and safe online behavior through partnerships with relevant national entities.
