United Bank of Egypt took center stage as a partner at the 4th Egyptian Women Summit, a flagship national event organized by the Top 50 Women Forum in collaboration with Nile University, under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and in partnership with the National Council for Women and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA). The summit — held under the banner “STEM and Future Innovation Summit” — brought together thousands of women and youth leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers focused on expanding women’s role in science, technology, and economic leadership.

The summit platform, recognized as one of the leading forums for women’s empowerment in the Middle East and Africa, featured specialized sessions on influence, personal branding, and digital leadership, highlighting how modern communication strategies can drive career success and economic growth. Prominent speakers and corporate leaders shared insights on leveraging digital platforms, brand identity, and strategic engagement to empower women across sectors.

Strategic Participation in Talent Development and Financial Inclusion

United Bank of Egypt also  participated actively in the summit’s Youth and Talent Employment Exhibition, where it showcased its commitment to nurturing young talent and supporting women in business and technology. The bank also facilitated a workshop on entrepreneurship and startups under the “Nilepreneurs ” initiative, led by the Central Bank of Egypt to accelerate innovation-led growth within the startup ecosystem.

Over the course of the summit, United Bank offered comprehensive financial and digital services to more than 6,000 participants, including:

  • Tailored banking solutions for women and youth
  • Financial inclusion accounts
  • Mortgage and housing finance
  • Advanced digital services — including internet banking, mobile banking, and digital wallets — designed to support business owners and emerging professionals

These services reflect the bank’s strategy of deepening financial access and ensuring that women and young entrepreneurs can thrive in Egypt’s evolving digital economy.

CEO: Investment in Women and Youth as Economic Drivers

Commenting on the bank’s role at the summit, Tarek Fayed, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of United Bank of Egypt, emphasized that the bank’s participation aligns with its national strategy to support the state’s vision for inclusive economic growth, digital transformation, and women’s economic empowerment.

“Our presence at the Egyptian Women Summit underscores United Bank’s commitment to equipping women and youth with not only financial solutions but also the digital tools and professional guidance they need to succeed,” Fayed said. “By combining innovative financial products with strategic advisory services, we aim to help ambitious entrepreneurs move from early ideas to tangible, sustainable ventures that contribute to the national economy.”

Fayed noted that investing in women and youth, particularly in STEM fields, innovation, and entrepreneurship, is now a pivotal engine of economic and social growth in Egypt. This strategic focus aligns with the government’s broader agenda and with Egypt’s Vision 2030, which places digital transformation and gender inclusion at the core of future development.

Driving Inclusive Growth Through Strategic Partnerships

A key highlight of the summit was the emphasis on building influence and personal branding as essential tools for professional advancement. A special session led by the Top 50 Women Forum convened senior communications and marketing leaders from major organizations to discuss how women can harness digital platforms and professional identities to expand career opportunities and contribute to the creative economy. United Bank was recognized for its internal brand ambassador strategy, which successfully promoted digital financial literacy, women-focused banking products, and initiatives supporting small business financing. Fayed reiterated that United Bank’s expansion of nationwide outreach, including Business Development Service Centers in Minya and Dakahlia and a network of 68 branches, strengthens its capacity to deliver both financial services and technical support to underserved communities, aligning with national efforts to empower startups and MSMEs. He highlighted the bank’s role in the Nilepreneurs initiative, a model of collaboration between the banking sector, higher education institutions, and the private sector focused on training, mentoring, and unlocking access to finance for early-stage businesses.

Egypt’s Broader Vision for Women in STEM and Innovation

The summit also featured discussions on national initiatives, including the launch of STEM and AI challenges designed to accelerate innovation among young professionals and bridge skills gaps in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — sectors prioritized by policymakers as critical for future economic competitiveness.

As Egypt continues to advance its national development agenda, events such as the 4th Egyptian Women Summit — and partnerships with strategic stakeholders like United Bank of Egypt — underscore the country’s growing commitment to digital inclusion, economic empowerment, and leadership pathways for women and youth.
