Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), organized a distinctive handicrafts and heritage exhibition to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, reaffirming both sides’ commitment to empowerment and inclusive development.
The exhibition’s opening ceremony was attended by senior representatives from ADIB and officials from the Ministry’s Exhibitions Sector, underscoring growing collaboration between the public and private sectors to support people with disabilities.
Showcasing Talent and Authentic Craftsmanship
This year’s exhibition stood out with its unique concept—all participating exhibitors were persons with disabilities, presenting an impressive range of traditional and handmade products that drew widespread praise for their exceptional quality, authenticity, and innovative designs.
The showcased works reflected remarkable precision and artistic detail, highlighting the exceptional skills, creativity, and craftsmanship of the exhibitors.
Organized by the General Department of Marketing and Exhibitions at the Central Administration for Development and Investment of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the event featured a wide array of products, including:
- Inlaid accessories
- Colorful macramé designs used as home décor
- Artistic candles and incense holders
- Vibrant glasswork with unique patterns
- Leather products
- Skillfully crafted copperware with fine finishing
Visitors expressed admiration for the high-quality craftsmanship on display, emphasizing that the exhibition clearly demonstrated the ability of persons with disabilities to excel, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to the creative economy.
