Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Maya Morsy, departed for Doha this morning to participate in the Second World Summit For Social Development 2025, according to an official statement from the Ministry.
The high-level summit, attended by heads of state and government, aims to address persistent gaps in social development, reaffirm commitments to the 1995 Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development, and advance the implementation of its action program. The event also seeks to accelerate progress toward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The summit will be held from November 4 to 6, 2025, at the Qatar National Convention Center in Doha.
During the conference, Morsy is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with ministers and delegations from participating countries. These meetings will focus on sharing experiences and exploring opportunities for collaboration on social protection and development programs.
The Egyptian delegation’s participation underscores the country’s ongoing commitment to enhancing social welfare, reducing poverty, and supporting sustainable development initiatives at both national and international levels.
