Promoting Egyptian women’s healthcare and empowerment, Dr. Mohamed Fahmy Al-Numani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of University Hospitals at Menoufia University, inspected the newly established Safe Women’s Clinic, the first of its kind within the university’s hospital system.
The initiative comes in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to strengthen Egypt’s efforts in empowering women and ensuring a safe, comprehensive environment that supports their physical, psychological, and social wellbeing.
The inspection tour was attended by Dr. Rania Azmy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mostafa Makram, Director of Specialized Clinics, and Mohamed Abu Arab, General Director of Administrative Affairs at University Hospitals. The delegation reviewed the clinic’s readiness, verifying that all equipment and facilities meet the highest standards of quality, privacy, and patient care, in collaboration with the National Council for Women.
Dr. Al-Numani emphasized that the creation of the clinic reflects Egypt’s national strategy to enhance women’s protection systems and deliver integrated healthcare services. He highlighted the importance of providing a supportive medical and humane environment that respects privacy and addresses women’s health in a holistic manner.
He further noted that the clinic underscores the Faculty of Medicine’s societal role and its commitment to supporting the state’s sustainable health development goals. Dr. Al-Numani also extended appreciation to hospital security teams and cleaning staff for maintaining order, safety, and cleanliness within the university hospital facilities.
For her part, Dr. Rania Azmy described the Safe Women’s Clinic as a qualitative addition to the university’s community service framework, stressing that the Faculty of Medicine’s mission extends beyond education and research to include community outreach and health awareness, particularly for Egyptian women.
She affirmed that the initiative aligns with the leadership’s vision to empower and protect women—physically, psychologically, and socially—while promoting a more inclusive and safe healthcare environment for all.
