ABC Bank and Raie Misr Foundation Renew Health Support Partnership for Underserved Communities in Egypt

Mona Yousef

For the second consecutive year, ABC Bank has renewed its strategic partnership with the Raei Misr Foundation for Development, aiming to expand access to essential healthcare services for Egypt’s most vulnerable populations.

The renewed agreement was signed during a high-profile ceremony at the historic Abdeen Palace, attended by government officials, business leaders, and public figures. The signatories included Mr. Rabih Halabi, Chief Operating Officer and Board Member of ABC Bank, and Amir Ramzy, Chairman of Raie Misr Foundation, in the  esteemed presence of Amb. Nabila Makram.

Mobile Clinics and Medical Convoys Reach the Margins

Under this collaboration, the two entities will continue deploying mobile medical clinics and health convoys to deliver free screenings and treatment in underserved areas — particularly in Upper Egypt’s villages, urban slums of Cairo and Giza, and rural areas of the Nile Delta.

The initiative targets communities with limited or no access to healthcare infrastructure, with a strong focus on poverty alleviation through improved health outcomes.

A Model for Private-Public Social Responsibility

Speaking at the event, Rabih Halabi reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to impactful corporate social responsibility (CSR), stating that ABC Bank’s mission extends beyond financial services to include active contributions to education and healthcare development in Egypt.

He emphasized the success of the previous year’s partnership, which yielded tangible results across health, education, and economic empowerment initiatives. The renewed agreement reflects a broader vision for inclusive and sustainable community development.

Aligning with Egypt’s Sustainable Development Vision

The partnership supports Egypt’s national goals under its Vision 2030 by promoting healthcare accessibility, social equity, and cross-sector collaboration.

By enabling early diagnosis, treatment, and health awareness in high-need areas, the initiative not only improves individual well-being but also reduces the long-term economic burden of untreated conditions on families and public health systems.
