Egyptian women continue to make waves in the world of sports, showcasing exceptional talent, resilience, and determination across multiple international and regional championships. Four rising stars—Yasmina Issa, Maram Hashem, Hagar Amin, and the Egyptian U15 Modern Pentathlon Team—have recently delivered standout performances that reflect the growing strength of Egyptian women in competitive sports.

Gold Glory for Issa in Para-Badminton

Para-badminton athlete Yasmina Issa delivered a spectacular performance at the 2025 Para-Badminton World Championships in Peru, claiming two gold medals in the mixed doubles and women’s doubles categories. In addition, she secured a silver medal in the singles event for short stature athletes, reinforcing her status as a world-class competitor and a source of pride for Egyptian para-sports.

Historic Victory for Egypt’s U15 Girls Modern Pentathlon Team

The Egyptian U15 Girls Modern Pentathlon Team made history at the 2025 Modern Pentathlon World Championships, securing gold medals in both the individual and team events. Represented by Nour Ramadan, Layan Hassan, and Maryam Abdel Nasser, the team dominated the global competition.

  • Nour Ramadan claimed the gold medal in the individual event, scoring an impressive 1,183 points.
  • Teammate Layan Hassan added to the celebration with a bronze medal, finishing with 1,162 points.
  • Collectively, the trio led Egypt to gold in the team event, marking a major international triumph and strengthening Egypt’s presence in modern pentathlon on the global stage.

Maram Hashem Impresses at Arab Youth Pentathlon Championship

Young talent Maram Hashem also showcased her athletic versatility and potential by excelling in the Arab Youth Modern Pentathlon Championship (U15 category). Her outstanding performance highlights Egypt’s growing influence in this demanding multi-sport discipline, which tests physical endurance, focus, and strategy across five events.

Hagar Amin Strikes Triple Gold in Africa

In a powerful display of strength and technique, Hagar Amin clinched three gold medals at the African Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championship in the 53 kg weight class. She lifted 70 kg in the snatch and 85 kg in the clean and jerk, finishing with an impressive total of 155 kg.

This remarkable feat not only secured her place at the top of the podium but also added a new chapter to Egypt’s legacy in continental weightlifting competitions.
