Minister of Social Solidarity Chairs NSB Board of Directors Meeting

Dr. Maya Morsy, the Minister of Social Solidarity and Chair of the Board of Directors of Nasser Social Bank, chaired a meeting of the bank’s board of directors. The meeting reviewed the items on the agenda, including an update on the progress.

During the meeting, a preliminary discussion took place regarding the strategy for restructuring and developing Nasser Social Bank to become the leading social bank in Egypt. This transformation aims to provide accessible and innovative financial services at low costs to promote financial inclusion and economic empowerment for the most vulnerable groups. This will be achieved through the use of technology, building strategic partnerships, strengthening governance, and continuously measuring social impact.

Dr. Maya and the board expressed their gratitude to the Deputy Chairman for the efforts and developments seen at the bank during this period, which reflects that the bank is on the right track.

Mr. Osama Al-Sayed, Deputy Chairman of the Board, clarified that Nasser Social Bank stands out from other banks as it combines a financial institution’s role with a social and economic function.  Nasser Social Bank is considered the financial arm of the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s strategy to achieve social justice and reach beneficiaries through financial inclusion. The bank’s social responsibility and community service are at the core of its dealings with various segments of society, contributing to development and supporting numerous activities aimed at different groups.

The meeting was attended by board members, including Mr. Osama Al-Sayed, Deputy Chairman, Major General Jamal Awad, Chairman of the National Social Insurance Authority, Mr. Ayman Abdel Maged, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Engineer Amr Mahmoud, Mr. Essam Abdel Aziz, and Mr. Mahmoud Montaser, along with various bank leaders. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Social Solidarity in the New Administrative Capital.
