The Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) evaluates the climate protection performance of 63 countries which, together with the European Union, are responsible for more than 90% of global greenhouse gas emissions. The assessment measures the effectiveness of climate policies over several years on energy use and renewable energy, ultimately leading to reduced greenhouse gas emissions. The index is based on 4 main pillars encompassing 14 sub-indicators.
