Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Maya Morsy, took a ride on the LRT (Light Rail Transit) electric train to her ministry’s eadquarters in the New Administrative Capital. She boarded the train at the Adly Mansour Station and traveled to the Arts and Culture City Station in the New Administrative Capital.
Minister Morsy made sure to stop at the ticket window to purchase her ticket before boarding the train. During her ride, she interacted with both employees commuting to their work in the New Administrative Capital and citizens using the train to travel between different areas in Cairo. She listened to their feedback and requests.
Dr. Morsy took the opportunity to familiarize herself with the numerous services provided by the electric train and the facilities designed to accommodate people with disabilities, ensuring they have access to all the necessary services.
At the end of her journey, the Minister visited the driver’s cabin and was pleased to discover that the train was being driven by a female conductor. She expressed her gratitude to the female train driver for her excellent performance, highlighting that this demonstrates the capability of Egyptian women to excel in all professions and complete their tasks with great efficiency.
Following this, Dr. Morsy boarded the Administrative Capital bus from the Arts and Culture City Station to the Ministry of Social Solidarity. These buses transport both commuters and employees from the “Arts and Culture” station of the LRT to various locations throughout the New Administrative Capital, including the Government District.
The buses operating in the New Administrative Capital are environmentally friendly, running on either electricity or natural gas. Each bus is equipped with phone charging stations at every seat and is fully air-conditioned.
Dr. Morsy expressed her sincere gratitude to Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport, for the efforts invested in the electric train project. She emphasized that this project is a world-class initiative on Egyptian soil, providing highly professional services that match international standards as observed in the train and its multiple stations.
