Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly met with Christopher Caldwell, CEO of global outsourcing company Concentrix, to discuss the company’s plans for expanding operations in Egypt. This meeting, held at the new administrative capital, underlined Egypt’s growing prominence as a global hub for outsourcing services. The discussion witnessed the presence of Minister of Communications, Dr. Amr Talaat, Concentrix Egypt’s CEO Amr Sobhi, and other representatives from Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).

Dr. Madbouly welcomed Mr. Caldwell, expressing the government’s appreciation for Concentrix’s significant investment in Egypt. The company has become a major player in Egypt’s outsourcing industry, providing thousands of job opportunities for young Egyptians. He emphasized the government’s focus on developing the outsourcing sector, which is seen as one of the most promising industries for Egypt’s short and medium-term economic growth.

“We are committed to supporting Concentrix’s expansion in Egypt, particularly through the opening of new outsourcing centers across the country. This will create even more job opportunities for young Egyptians,” Dr. Madbouly stated. He also noted that the Egyptian government is keen to help outsourcing companies tap into the vast pool of talented young professionals in Egypt.

Dr. Talaat added that the communications and information technology sector is a key driver of Egypt’s economic development. The sector has seen considerable investment in its infrastructure, making Egypt an attractive destination for global outsourcing companies. Currently, Concentrix employs 19,000 staff across 11 centers in Egypt, providing customer support and technical services to more than 66 global companies.

The highlight of the meeting was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between ITIDA and Concentrix, aimed at expanding the company’s operations in Egypt. The agreement outlines plans for an investment of $1 billion, which will create 16,000 new jobs, bringing Concentrix’s total workforce in Egypt to 35,000 by 2028.

Dr. Madbouly expressed that this expansion reflects Egypt’s strategic position as a global outsourcing hub, noting the government’s role in facilitating a favorable environment for international companies in the sector. He also pointed out that Egypt’s digital talent pool, coupled with its competitive cost structure, makes it an ideal location for outsourcing services.

Dr. Talaat underscored that this expansion is the largest in Egypt’s outsourcing history and will further enhance the country’s global competitiveness in the sector. He emphasized that outsourcing is a critical component of Egypt’s economic development strategy, generating substantial job opportunities and contributing to the growth of Egypt’s digital export revenues.

Christopher Caldwell, CEO of Concentrix, expressed his enthusiasm for the company’s continued expansion in Egypt. He reflected on his recent meeting with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, where he was encouraged by the government’s strong support for boosting investments and job creation. Caldwell also praised Egypt’s advanced telecommunications infrastructure and the high skill levels of Egyptian employees.

“We are proud to be part of Egypt’s transformation into a global outsourcing leader. The talent and dedication of the young Egyptian workforce are truly exceptional,” Caldwell noted.

This agreement signals the continued growth of Egypt’s outsourcing sector, positioning the country as a key player in the global market for business services and customer support. The ongoing collaboration between the government and leading global firms like Concentrix underscores Egypt’s strategic importance in the evolving global outsourcing landscape.
