Egypt’s President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi,  emphasized Egypt’s commitment to providing a package of investment incentives aimed at attracting both global and local companies to operate in Egypt. This effort seeks to improve service levels and enhance the competitiveness of the outsourcing industry, in line with the “Digital Egypt” strategy.

This came during President Sisi’s meeting today with Christopher Caldwell, CEO of the American company Concentrix, a leader in outsourcing, business services, and contact centers, in the presence of Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Ahmed Al-Zaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency, along with Amr Sobhi, CEO of Concentrix Egypt.

Presidential spokesman Amb. Mohamed Shenaoui stated that President Sisi praised the expansion of Concentrix in Egypt, noting that this growth aligns with the country’s focus on enhancing infrastructure in the fields of communications and information technology. He also highlighted that Egypt has launched several training programs aimed at developing digital skills, particularly for youth, to prepare them for roles in both local and international companies.

The meeting also reviewed Concentrix’s plans for further expansion in Egypt, which include increasing the number of employees across the company’s branches in various governorates and establishing new branches. These initiatives contribute to the country’s ambitious goals of developing the ICT sector and positioning Egypt as a global hub for digital services. Additionally, the meeting focused on increasing the volume of outsourcing service exports, with foreign companies establishing specialized centers in Egypt that employ Egyptian specialists to provide digital services to international clients.

Concentrix’s CEO also commended the progress Egypt has made in the ICT sector, expressing appreciation for the country’s efforts in digital transformation and creating a conducive environment for attracting international companies. He noted that the company’s workforce in Egypt has grown from 150 specialists in 2020 to 20,000 specialists today, making it the largest outsourcing center in Africa and the Middle East. The company aims to increase its workforce to 35,000 by 2028.
