Turkey will expand its academic cooperation with Egypt by increasing the number of scholarships available to Egyptian students. Turkish Ambassador to Egypt Salih Mutlu Şen announced on Thursday that Turkey aims to offer 500 scholarships for master’s, university research, and doctoral programs to Egyptian students.

The announcement came during a ceremony honoring academics who completed a Turkish language training program organized by the Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo. Speaking at the event, Ambassador Şen praised Egypt’s efforts to teach the Turkish language and expressed hope for continued growth in Turkish education in the country.

“We stand by you, and we appreciate the work of each one of you,” Ambassador Şen told the students attending the ceremony. He urged Turkish universities to develop innovative programs focusing on Turkish language, culture, economy, industry, science, and technology.

The ambassador’s announcement is a testament to the growing bilateral relationship between Turkey and Egypt and the importance of cultural and academic exchange. By increasing the number of scholarships, Turkey is providing Egyptian students with valuable opportunities to pursue their education and contribute to the development of both countries.
