Sherine made history by becoming 1st female singer to enter Guinness World Record

Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel-Wahab breaks the Guinness World Record for longest-staying female artist at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Arab Artist chart.

Sherine spent 11 weeks at the top of the Billboard Arabic Artist 100 chart in 2024. She was recognized for her songs “Kalam Eineh” and “El-Watar El-Hassas,” which topped Billboard Arabia’s charts. Sherine is the first Arab artist to receive a Billboard Women in Music Award.

The Egyptian megastar became the first Arab artist awarded at the Billboard Women in Music Awards.

Billboard Arabia launched in 2023 to highlight Arab artists and their music. It uses data from digital streaming platforms to reflect global Arab music preferences.

Billboard Arabia was launched in June 2023 to promote Arab artists and pledge “to be the premier global destination for artists with Arab roots.”

According to Billboard Arabia, the platform follows the well-established parameters set by Billboard over eight decades, drawing data from leading digital streaming platforms like Spotify, Anghami, YouTube, and Apple Music, reflecting Arab music preferences globally.

Sherine gained fame in 2002 with the album Tamer & Sherine. She has since had successful albums, TV shows, and movies. Sherine has upcoming concerts in Kuwait and Dubai.
