The National Council for Women is participating in the activities of the Presidential Initiative for Human Development, “A New Beginning for Human Development.” This aligns with the political leadership’s vision to achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the government’s program for sustainable development, which aims to build a more advanced and integrated society.

The initiative will be launched on September 7 in the New Administrative Capital and will continue for 100 days in various governorates of the Republic.

According to a recent statement from the Council, their involvement in the presidential initiative’s activities is multifaceted, involving the implementation of a diverse range of events and activities over the course of 100 days.

An executive plan has been developed for these awareness and training programs, covering various services for all age groups and encompassing all governorates of the Republic.

The activities will focus on different aspects of the lives of Egyptian women and families, particularly on the axes of economic and social empowerment and awareness.

The economic and social empowerment axis is a comprehensive program that includes initiatives such as financial inclusion, entrepreneurship and financial education programs, vocational and professional training to enhance women’s skills for entering the labor market, as well as awareness training and campaigns on economic empowerment and the eradication of violence against women at tram stations in Alexandria Governorate.

On the other hand, the community and health awareness axis encompasses door-to-door campaigns and roundtable sessions to address population growth, family counseling, and balanced upbringing. Additionally, it encompasses initiatives like “Noura” and “Dawi,” along with environmental awareness projects such as smart green initiatives to promote sustainability.

Other activities involve training camps and workshops for religious leaders, priests, and imams, as well as for local leaders and healthcare providers.
