National Council for Women Participates in Egyptians Abroad Conference

Ambassador Mona Omar, a member of the National Council for Women and rapporteur of the Foreign Relations Committee, participated in the opening session of the Egyptians Abroad Conference (the fifth edition under the slogan “From the Mother of the World… to the whole world”).

The conference, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, took place over two days, August 4-5, 2024.

Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, accompanied by Ambassador Mona Omar, inspected the National Council for Women’s exhibition held on the sidelines of the conference.

During the inspection, Ambassador Mona Omar presented the Minister of Foreign Affairs with a gift of distinctive women’s products, emphasizing the Council’s important role in supporting women from different governorates and female entrepreneurs.

The Council empowers women economically and assists them in marketing and displaying their products. Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Aati admired the various and distinctive women’s products.

The Council’s exhibition showcased craft training products for women from the governorates of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family.

Additionally, there were displays of products from female entrepreneurs and women involved in the project “Addressing the Economic Motives for Illegal Immigration,” a project that is implemented by the Council in partnership with the European Union, a testament to the Council’s commitment to impactful and sustainable initiatives.

The products, which included environmentally friendly items, clothing, and accessories, were all adorned with innovative and modern designs, inspiring all who saw them.
