The Ministry of Planning and the Daleel Al-Khair Foundation have partnered to empower children with determination in envisioning a sustainable city. Through its National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, this collaborative effort has empowered children with determination to conceptualize a sustainable urban development.
A gathering of dignitaries, including Amb. Hisham Badr, Assistant Minister for Strategic Partnerships and Excellence and Initiatives, and Dr. Eman Karim, General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, witnessed the unveiling of the children’s groundbreaking project, “The Ideal City.” This visionary initiative showcases innovative approaches to creating a green and inclusive urban environment.
Demonstrating exceptional creativity and problem-solving abilities, the children seamlessly integrated smart green project elements into their ideal city blueprint. Their project aligns perfectly with the National Initiative’s overarching goals of fostering sustainable development and promoting community inclusion.
In this regard, Amb. Badr expressed unwavering support for the children and their families, urging them to further embed sustainability into their project. The Ministry pledged to champion the initiative by presenting it at the upcoming National Conference and advocating for it on the global stage.
Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, lauded the children’s initiative and reiterated the Ministry’s steadfast commitment to supporting their endeavors.
