Mastercard has launched the award-winning podcast series “Her Voice” in Egypt, aiming to empower women entrepreneurs and small businesses in the country.

This podcast highlights the stories of female entrepreneurs and innovators in various fields, such as business, social impact, culinary arts, travel, retail, and e-commerce.

In Egypt, where there is a growing number of female entrepreneurs, “Her Voice” serves as a platform to showcase exceptional women leading innovation and to emphasize the transformative power of female-led enterprises.

Inji Borai, Mastercard’s Vice President and Country Manager in Egypt, expressed Mastercard’s belief in the vast potential of women and their pivotal role in the global economy. She stated that “Her Voice” is a space where women’s voices resonate, their stories inspire, and their innovations unlock untapped opportunities.

The podcast series is envisioned to be a catalyst for change and to inspire positive contributions to communities, especially for women-led businesses in Egypt.

The podcast series, launched on July 2nd, features the success stories of female pioneers. Its goal is to motivate listeners to unlock their full potential and support one another through storytelling and shared wisdom.

Each episode, hosted by the renowned Egyptian actress Mariam El Khost, interviews a unique female guest, such as Asmaa Khattab, founder of cultural tourism company Walk Like an Egyptian; Laila Sedky, founder of NOLA and artist; Dina El Mofty, founder of INJAZ Egypt; Mounaz and Aya Abdelraouf, co-founder of Okhtein; and Rania Ayman, founder and CEO of Entreprenelle.

These women share their personal inspiration, motivation, and vision for an inclusive future.

Mastercard has partnered with Entreprenelle, an organization supporting women entrepreneurs, to offer two entrepreneurs the opportunity to receive a year-long membership and be featured in their own episodes of the series.

Furthermore, in 2020, Mastercard renewed its commitment to financial inclusion, specifically focusing on providing solutions to help 25 million women entrepreneurs grow their businesses.

The company has also partnered with Women’s Choice to launch the Social Innovation Incubator (SII) for Women’s Employment, which aims to create one million jobs for women across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to support inclusive economic growth in the region.
