The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, praised the contributions of women to the petroleum sector’s achievements. He specifically highlighted their advancement to top positions within the industry.
El Molla made these remarks during his address to the General Trade Union for Petroleum Workers’ (GTUPW) Women’s Day celebration, held at the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) headquarters.
He further emphasized the importance of continuous support and growth for the sector’s staff, given the industry’s accomplishments and favorable reputation earned through the Modernization project.
The minister moved on to encourage women to double their efforts in the current phase, which requires more development. He challenged them to strike a balance between their jobs at GTUPW and their roles in their families and firms.
Mohamed Gibran, the chairman of GTUPW, praised the Minister for creating an environment that empowers women in the field to achieve tremendous success.
Aida Mohieldin, Vice President of the General Union of Petroleum Workers for Women’s Affairs, praised the Minister’s dedication to women’s empowerment in the oil industry. She acknowledged the industry’s expanding prosperity and the prospects for women and highlighted their renewed promise to double their efforts and contribute their creativity to the sector’s ongoing success.
The event also featured a documentary about renowned female business leaders and emerging young executives. These women expressed their gratitude for the sector’s measures to boost women’s growth in the oil industry.
