During the activities of the National Youth Conference, held in Alexandria last Wednesday, Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of Immigration, congratulated Phoebe Wasfy, Principal of the Egyptian Philopateer College in Canada, on President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s honoring of her.
Wasfy responded in an interview with Al-Watan by expressing her deep joy at being honored by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, in addition to Ambassador Soha Gendi’s congratulations to her, noting that she did not expect what happened, to the point that she can’t really comprehend it.
She added: The immigration minister didn’t settle for writing congratulations on the group dedicated to Egyptians who play an effective role in Canada, but also privately contacted me to congratulate me in person, and this is a great honor for me.
About President El-Sisi honoring her, the successful educator affirmed she was in a state of joy and amazement to be honored by her country, revealing the conversation that took place between her and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, saying: When the president granted me the award, I told him I was honored to build Egypt with you in any way I can help. Egypt is always in our hearts, even if we live abroad.
