Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, Egyptian Spokesman for the Health and Population Ministry shared Egypt’s intention to focus its full potential on ranking in the world’s top medical tourism destinations.
He told “TEN” satellite TV channel over the phone that Egypt is home to great archaeological landmarks, touristic sites, top-of-the-line hotels, and natural resorts for treating respiratory and digestive systems diseases, as well as skin and bone diseases within many places like Helwan, Ain Assera, Ain Sokhna, Hurghada, Fayoum, Oasis, Aswan, Sinai and Safaga on the Red Sea.
Furthermore, there’s a group of professional medical teams and a well-functioning healthcare system, including internationally-accredited hospitals and health facilities, Abdel Ghaffar added.
According to him, Egypt should double its efforts to organize an efficient integrated management system, which would significantly grow its profits from medical tourism.
