Solaf Darwish, Undersecretary of the Manpower Committee in the House of Representatives, President of the General Union of Banks, Insurance and Financial Businesses, and Secretary-General of the Arab Union of Banks, Insurance and Financial Businesses, stressed that the current challenges facing the entire world require joint Arab action in all fields, stressing that women are key partners in the development process and facing challenges.
Her remarks came during Darwish’s speech at the Money, Investment, and Women Conference, held in Erbil, Iraq, with the participation of political and parliamentary figures, notables, investors, businessmen, media figures, and those interested in the fields of tourism, investment, and economics from 20 Arab countries.
Representative Solaf also praised the role and status enjoyed by Egyptian women during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and their involvement in decision-making, as the Egyptian state launched the “National Strategy for Women’s Empowerment 2030.
She said that the “great women of Egypt”, as President Sisi calls them, are actively participating in building the new republic, whose goals are now being achieved on Egyptian soil under the leadership of the President, and are a living example of the safe and stable investment climate in Egypt.
Moreover, Darwish called on world investors to invest in a safe and stable Egypt in all fields, especially the renaissance witnessed in infrastructure; she spoke about the social protection programs that the Egyptian state provides to its citizens to confront the challenges that the whole world faced and is facing as a result of the repercussions of the Coronavirus and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
She underlined that Egyptian women have proven that they are more than capable of supporting the Egyptian state in facing all the challenges and dangers that Egypt faced internally and externally, citing their positions in supporting Egypt and standing by their large state and small family to bear all the difficulties and challenges.
Darwish added that Egyptian Women are now living their golden age under the leadership of President El-Sisi, who restored her position and role, and she appreciates this support that made her a true partner in the development process. She now enjoys her rights and achieves her dreams, on the ground and legislatively, without any discrimination, exclusion, or marginalization.
