The opening of the fourth edition of “Forever Is Now” kicked off yesterday at the Giza Pyramids. This unique exhibition blends ancient heritage and modern creativity. It showcases works by renowned international artists who reinterpret the historical significance of these iconic structures.Running from October 6 to November 17, 2024, the exhibition features diverse installations. These works challenge traditional perceptions of art and history. Curated by the art collective Art D’Egypte, “Forever Is Now” fosters dialogue between the past and present. In First Official Match, Al Ahly Wins The First Ever Women’s Cairo Derby Against Zamalek
History was made as Al Ahly claimed victory in the first-ever Women’s Cairo derby, defeating their fierce rivals Zamalek. Al Ahly and Zamalek decided to establish women’s teams for the first time after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) made it mandatory for the clubs participating in the CAF Inter-Club competitions to have a women’s team as part of their structure.
To make it even more interesting, the draw put the Cairo giants face to face in the opening round of the Egyptian Women’s Premier League, with the game taking place at Zamalek’s ground in Mit Okba.

Al Ahly is next in action against giants Wadi Degla on Friday, while Zamalek will be up against ZED FC on Monday.
Egyptian superstar Angham will perform at the Layali Misr concert in The Grand Egyptian Museum on October 11. The “Layali Misr” project features a series of large-scale concerts by renowned Egyptian and Arab singers in various Egyptian governorates.

The Aswan International Women’s Film Festival is now accepting film submissions for its ninth session, scheduled to take place from April 20 to 25, 2025. Films can be submitted via the festival’s official website from Thursday, October 3, until December 20.
The festival is seeking films that have yet to be publicly screened in Egypt. It specifically focuses on works that showcase women’s creativity, including those directed or written by women, as well as films that address women’s issues, equality, and emerging problems.
The festival includes two international competitions: one for feature films (fiction, documentary, animation) over 60 minutes and another for short films (fiction, documentary, animation) under 60 minutes. Additionally, there will be special programs, competitions, and screenings outside the competition.
The ninth session of the Aswan International Women’s Film Festival is named in honor of Umm Kulthum, the Lady of Arabic Singing, to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of her legacy. The festival is held under the auspices of the Ministries of Culture, Tourism, and Social Solidarity, the National Council for Women, the Aswan Governorate, and the Syndicate of Cinematographers.
