Reflecting on shared commitment to educational development and community empowerment, Nahdet Misr Publishing House, a leading Arab institution in education and culture, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Educate Me Foundation, a non-profit organization known for its innovative work in education reform in Egypt.
The partnership aims to empower girls in rural communities by enhancing their foundational and digital skills, focusing on girls aged 9 to 12. The initiative is structured around three core objectives: improving basic literacy and numeracy, strengthening digital competencies for educational use, and building the capacity of local NGOs to ensure the sustainability and scalability of the program’s impact.
Educate Me Foundation, which applies a holistic learner-centric model in its community school programs, will bring its expertise in teacher development and alternative education models to the project. The foundation places strong emphasis on social-emotional learning in parallel with academic instruction, aiming to shift prevailing paradigms around education in Egypt.
Speaking on the collaboration, Dalia Ibrahim, Chairperson of Nahdet Misr Publishing House, described the agreement as a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to support women’s empowerment and educational equity. She highlighted the alignment of both organizations’ missions, affirming that investing in girls’ education—particularly in rural areas—is key to driving sustainable community transformation.
Ibrahim further emphasized that equipping girls with foundational academic and digital skills is essential for preparing them to participate in a future workforce defined by technology and lifelong learning. “This partnership,” she said, “is an investment in future generations.”
From Educate Me Foundation’s side, Eng. Christine Safwat, Executive Director of the foundation, called the partnership a strategic collaboration with an institution that has long-standing credibility in the education sector. She affirmed the shared belief that education is a fundamental right and the most powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty, adding that the foundation’s new strategy places a strong focus on the education of girls and mothers due to the significant ripple effects it has on families and communities.
As part of the initiative’s rollout, the program will include 30 structured educational sessions and the selection and training of local partner organizations. In addition, learning outcomes will be rigorously monitored through pre- and post-intervention assessments to evaluate the academic progress of participating students.
The collaboration between Nahdet Misr and Educate Me represents a powerful model of how public-private partnerships and grassroots educational interventions can work together to address systemic inequities in access to quality education.
