As part of a national strategy to elevate high-end tourism offerings, Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, through the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, has launched an international digital marketing campaign under the banner “Sail to Egypt.” This new initiative aims to spotlight Egypt as a premium destination for luxury yacht tourism, leveraging its vast coastline, modern marinas, and captivating coastal environments.
The campaign, now live across prominent global digital platforms—including Instagram, YouTube, and Google—targets high-spending travelers with a passion for bespoke, sea-bound experiences.
Presidential Vision for Elevating Egypt’s Yacht Tourism
Shereef Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, affirmed that the campaign was launched in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, emphasizing the state’s commitment to maximizing the value of yacht tourism. It also aligns with the Ministry’s broader branding strategy, “Egypt… A Unique Blend,” which showcases the country’s diverse and unrivaled tourism offerings.
“With its dual coastlines on the Red and Mediterranean Seas, world-class marinas, and year-round temperate climate, Egypt is uniquely positioned to compete as a premier yacht tourism hub regionally and globally,” said the Minister.
Creative Multimedia Campaign
Eng. Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister for Strategic Affairs and Acting CEO of the Tourism Promotion Authority, noted that the campaign features a range of creative multimedia content highlighting the core elements of Egypt’s nautical appeal—from modern marinas and island resorts to vibrant coastal cities and adventure-filled sailing experiences.
“This campaign not only tells Egypt’s story as a top-tier yacht destination—it reflects our long-term strategy to attract a sophisticated tourism segment in search of unique marine adventures,” said Youssef.
Global Exposure
According to Suzan Mostafa, Director of the General Department for Tourism Promotion at the Authority, the campaign will run for two months and will extend beyond digital channels to include editorial and advertising placements in leading international yachting magazines, most notably Super Yacht Magazine. Egypt’s yacht tourism offering will feature prominently in the publication’s September issue, further elevating its global visibility.
Tourism Development Vision
“Sail to Egypt” is one of several initiatives by the Ministry to position Egypt on the global yachting map. The Tourism Promotion Authority has actively participated in leading international yachting events, including Boot Düsseldorf in Germany and the Monaco Yacht Show, reflecting the country’s commitment to integrating into the global yacht tourism ecosystem.
