Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier Flyadeal has unveiled plans to bolster its regional presence with the introduction of two new routes connecting the Kingdom to Egypt. This strategic move aims to cater to growing travel demand between the two countries, offering passengers more convenient and affordable flight options. Jeddah – Sohag And Madinah – Cairo will launch on 11 November 2024.
The newly announced routes will provide direct flights to popular destinations within Egypt, serving both leisure and business travelers. Flyadeal’s management expressed excitement about the expansion, highlighting the company’s dedication to fostering stronger ties between Saudi Arabia and Egypt through enhanced air connectivity.

Egypt and the Dominican Republic held their inaugural round of political consultations on Wednesday, focusing on bolstering cooperation in political, economic, and cultural spheres. The virtual meeting, which took place approximately six months after the two countries signed an agreement to establish a mechanism for such discussions, was led by Egypt’s Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs, Sameh Aboul-Enein, and the Dominican Republic’s Director for African and Middle Eastern Affairs Department, Ricardo David Ruiz Cepeda.
As per a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the consultations centered on enhancing trade, increasing mutual investments, and intensifying high-level visits to deepen the bilateral relationship. Aboul-Enein expressed Egypt’s keen interest in strengthening cooperation with the Dominican Republic in various sectors, including migration issues and tourism.
The two sides also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest, such as the Palestinian cause, developments in Sudan, and political changes in Latin America. Cepeda emphasized his country’s eagerness to maintain coordination with Egypt on Middle East developments, acknowledging Egypt’s pivotal role in the region.
Both delegations agreed to continue consulting and coordinating on issues of mutual interest, particularly concerning shared regional threats like illegal immigration and terrorism. This round of talks is part of a broader Egyptian effort to activate Egyptian-Latin American relations across various fields, as emphasized in the statement.
Amid global economic challenges, the Egyptian government has announced a comprehensive economic stimulus package worth EGP 10 billion for the current fiscal year. This initiative aims to stimulate growth, enhance productivity, and support vulnerable sectors affected by ongoing economic pressures.
During a press conference, Minister of Finance emphasized the government’s commitment to sustaining economic stability and growth. The package will focus on several key areas, including support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), social protection initiatives, and investments in infrastructure.
“This stimulus package will mitigate the adverse impacts of global inflation and supply chain disruptions, ensuring that our economy remains resilient,” the Minister stated., adding that”We are particularly focused on empowering our SMEs, which are crucial for job creation and economic diversification.”
The EGP 10 billion package will be allocated to SMEs, social protection programs, infrastructure investments, and sector- specific aid.

Tourism and Antiquities Support Fund Agrees to Extend Flight Incentives For Winter Season
The Tourism and Antiquities Support Fund’s board, under the leadership of Minister Sherif Fathi, has approved an extension of the flight incentive program to the upcoming winter season with some modifications.
The board examined the flight incentive policies provided by the ministry to enhance tourism in Egypt. This program has helped in reaching new tourist markets and promoting Egypt as a tourist destination.
Additionally, new airline companies have initiated flights to Egypt for the first time. The meeting compared the program’s accomplishments during the current summer season with those of the previous summer season.
The Egyptian Ambassador to Vietnam, Amal Salama, paid a visit to the University of Languages & International Studies, which is affiliated with Vietnam National University (VNU-ULIS), in order to donate a collection of books and publications in Arabic on behalf of the Egyptian government.
University President expressed appreciation for Egypt’s ongoing backing of the Arabic language department, particularly through the provision of a representative from Azhar to teach Arabic ever since the department was established. The president also acknowledged the grants from the Higher Education ministry to support the teaching of Arabic.
