On the 27th of this month, the Association of Information and Communications Technology Company “Int@j” will organize the “She Techs” Forum to empower women in the Communications and Information Technology Sector.
Maha Al-Saeed, a member of the Board of Directors of “Int@j” and responsible for the women’s empowerment file, shared in a statement to the Jordanian news agency (Petra) that the event comes within the efforts of the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the association, to enhance the presence, attendance, and representation of women in the communications and information technology sector.
She added that the forum emphasizes the importance of increasing women’s representation in the sector in all their roles, whether technical, administrative, or leadership, and represents an important step towards enhancing women’s participation in the digital economy and supporting sustainable development.
Al-Saeed further explained that the forum, which comes with the support of the German Development Agency, will discuss, through a group of dialogue sessions and with the participation of experts and specialists, the importance of providing a decent work environment to encourage more women to work in all jobs in the sector.
She stressed that the presence of women in the sector is considered a great added value, which is reflected positively in improving creativity and increasing the ability to think strategically, productivity, and profitability.
