Azerbaijan Businessmen Society Looks Forward to Maximizing cooperation, and Joint Investments with Egypt

According to Egypt today, Resident Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Friday with a number of businessmen and CEOs of major companies in Azerbaijan, said Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.

Various Azerbaijani ministers, senior officials, and representatives of relevant authorities attended the meetings, as did Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, and Planning Minister Hala el Saeed.

The Azerbaijani business community expressed a desire to contribute to investment in Egypt, particularly in light of the enormous and diverse opportunities supported by the political leadership under President Sisi to attract more foreign investment to Egypt.

The Azerbaijani officials expressed their appreciation for the President’s keenness to meet with them personally, which further enhances cross-border joint cooperation between the two countries.

They were looking forward to maximizing cooperation and joint investments with Egypt, given the political will they saw and the President’s personal follow-up on foreign investment activity in Egypt. In addition, Egypt has many promising investment fields and opportunities, primarily in infrastructure, transportation, new energy, green hydrogen, electric power production, and pharmaceutical industries.

The President held an open discussion with the heads and representatives of Azerbaijani businesses, who welcomed increased cooperation with Egypt. They also discussed their plans to invest in Egypt or expand existing projects in a variety of fields, as well as to improve communication between private sector representatives in the two countries in order to expand bilateral economic relations to meet the aspirations of the two peoples.
