Egyptian star Amir El-Masry stars in “Club Zero” film that was selected in the official competition 2023 of the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. The premiere night of Club Zero is scheduled was on May 22.
El-Masry was cast as a ballet teacher in the film that is directed by Jessica Hausner.
This marks the second participation of El-Masry in the Cannes Film Festival, since his film “Limbo” that recognized as a wide success and positive critical acclaim ahead of the film’s tour at prestigious film festivals around the world such as BFI London Film Festival, Cairo International Film Festival, and Filmfest München.
Most recently, Amir El-Masry played the role of the Egyptian businessman, Mohamed Al-Fayed at an early age in the highly acclaimed American drama, “The Crown”.
He also portrayed the character of an Egyptian doctor during World War II in the British series SAS Rogue Heroes. El-Masry starred in the musical series Magnouna Bik (Crazy About You) which topped Shahid VIP’s watching lists on the platform.
His latest film “#Gawwezni” was released in theaters throughout the Arab world
