Women in Real Estate (WIRE) arranged a panel discussion titled “Resilient Women at the Forefront of the Egyptian Real Estate Landscape” in conjunction with Cityscape 2023.
The panel, moderated by Mona Hussein, CEO and Founder of Mona Hussein Design Studio, included eminent speakers like Nervein Magdy, Managing Director of Property Finder Egypt, Hoda Galal Yassa, Director of Hospitality Development at City Edge Developments, and Heba El Dessouky, President of Arab Women Investors Union (AWIU).
According to Invest-Gate, the panel discussion aimed to shed light on how women may advance and strengthen Egypt’s largely male-dominated real estate industry.
Hussein emphasized the rising proportion of women working in the real estate industry. She admitted that the majority of roles are still held by men, which presents difficulties for female investors and property owners. In line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Empowering Egyptian Women 2030, Hussein stressed that empowering women is a top concern for Egypt.
In turn, Yassa also stressed the important role that women have played in the growth of the real estate industry. She mentioned the large number of accomplished businesswomen who are active competitors in the field, notably in Arab and African nations.
On her part, Nervein Magdy reaffirmed the crucial function that women play in plans for development in a variety of industries, including real estate. She stressed that women’s attention to detail in both their professional and personal lives has a significant impact on how any sector develops.
Notably, prominent real estate businesses, investors, developers, specialists, and real estate enthusiasts actively participated in the opening of the second day of the 12th edition of Cityscape Egypt. The expo, which was put together by Informa Markets with the support of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, also includes Cityscape Talks, a forum for professionals from the public and private sectors to talk about the most important advancements in their respective fields.
