Visa, Egypt Post Reinforces Commitment to Egypt’s Fintech Future Through Strategic Partnership

Visa, the global leader in digital payments, is deepening its investment in Egypt’s rapidly growing financial technology landscape. The company is strengthening its strategic partnership with Egypt Post, led by Chairperson  Dalia El Baz, to expand access to innovative financial technologies and drive digital payment adoption across Egypt.

The meeting, which included top Visa executives and Egypt Post leadership, focused on enhancing current collaborations and exploring new avenues for future partnership. Mahmoud praised the longstanding strategic alliance between Visa and Egypt Post, calling it a cornerstone of Visa’s operations in the Egyptian market.

Visa’s delegation included Leila Serhan, Regional Senior Vice President and Group Country Manager for North Africa, Levant, and Pakistan; Malak El Baba, General Manager for Visa Egypt; and Omar El Attar, Head of Government Business for Egypt and North Africa.

Speaking during a high-level meeting with Dalia El Baz, Chairwoman of Egypt Post, Mahmoud highlighted the strategic importance of the Egyptian market, describing it as one of the largest and fastest-growing in the region. Egypt offers tremendous opportunities for implementing innovative ideas and services. This potential pushes us to strengthen our partnerships, especially with key players like Egypt Post, to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions tailored to evolving customer needs,” he stated.

On the other hand,  Tarek Mahmoud, Regional President for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Visa, confirmed the company’s strong commitment to expanding digital payment experiences and ensuring inclusive access to financial technology services across all segments of society.

Driving Financial Inclusion and Digital Transformation

The discussions aligned with Egypt’s national strategy to promote financial inclusion and accelerate digital transformation. El Baz emphasized that Egypt Post is prioritizing broader collaboration with public and private sector stakeholders to upgrade its service offerings.

“At Egypt Post, our mission is to continuously expand the scope of services we provide, ensuring they meet customer expectations and future demands. Strategic partnerships like the one with Visa are instrumental in supporting the state’s efforts to achieve financial inclusion and drive digital advancement,” she said.

Further, Visa’s renewed focus on the Egyptian market comes amid strong governmental support for local and foreign investments in the fintech space. Mahmoud outlined Visa’s future expansion plans, which aim to build robust digital infrastructure and extend innovative payment solutions to underserved populations across the country.
