Top 50 Women Forum Honors 50 Most Influential Women in Business Community and Public Life

In its second edition, the annual Women Professionals Summit honored a list of the 50 most influential Egyptian women in business institutions for the year 2022. Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, Ambassador Christian Berger, Ambassador of the European Union in Cairo, and Renowned journalist Dina Abdel Fattah, President of the Top 50 Women Forum handed the awards to the honorees.

The Top 50 Women Awards is one of the most important annual awards in Egypt, which celebrates the successes of Egyptian women in all sectors, to shed light on female models who can anticipate and shape the future in light of these global changes and lead institutional work, whether in the government or the private sector.
On Top of the list of honorees were Dr. Gehan Saleh, Egyptian Prime Minster Advisory for Economic Affairs;
Dr. Hoda Baraka, Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Professor of Computer Engineering at Cairo University;
Ambassador Mona Omar, Former Assistant Foreign Minister,
Hebatallah ElSerafi, Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange;
Dr. Nahla Sabry Elseidy, First Female Advisor of the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar for International Students Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences for International Students and Head of Education Development Center for Al-Azhar International Students;
Amal El-Sheikh, CEO of Shell Lubricants Egypt;
Rana Badawi, Sub-governor and Basel sectors at the Central Bank of Egypt;
and Dr. Reem Bassiouney, Professor and Chair of the Applied Linguistics Department at the American University in Cairo Editor of the Routledge Series of Language and Identity, Editor and Founder of the journal Arabic Sociolinguistics Edinburgh, and Award-Winning Author.

The list of honorees also included Dr. Ola Al-Khawaga, Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, and Senior advisor Usaid Macro-Economic Stabilization, and reform project;
Dr. Eman Mansour, Director, Investors’ Dispute Settlement Center and Head of the Policy Advocacy sector, General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI);
Prof. Nevine Mossaad, Professor of Political Science, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University;
Susan Sabet, Publisher & Editor in Chief of Pashion magazine, Founder of SS Consulting, and Founder & Board Member of the Egyptian Fashion & Design Council;
Dr. Kawther Mahmoud, General Director of Nursing Syndicate in Egypt,
Member of the Egyptian Parliament, and Under Secretary of Nursing Administration in the Ministry of Health and Population.

Also among the honorees was Dr. Heba Handoussa, Managing Director of Egypt Network for Integrated Development (ENID), and Founder and Board Member of El Nidaa Foundation;
Rania Yacoub Habib, Board member at the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), Chairwoman at 3way Finance, and Chairman of 3-way Finance;
Dalia Salib, General Manager of MARS Egypt;
Dr. Heba Labib, Director of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness Center at Nile University, and Executive Director of NilePreneurs Initiative;
Maha Abdel Hamid Ibrahim, Deputy CEO, Corporate, SMEs and Strategic at Ahli United Bank Egypt;
Ola Al-Dajani, Entrepreneur and Investor, Co-Founder & Board Member of Tiye Angels, and Co-Founder of Beymen Cairo;
Ghada Ghaith, Senior Director, Head of Corporate Communication & CSR at Export Development Bank (EBE);
Noura Selim, Executive Director at Sawiris Foundation for Social Development; and Dalia Wahba, Chief Executive Officer of Hassan Allam Utilities.

The summit also honored Yasmine Helal, Chief Executive Office & Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Islamic Consumer Finance;
Fatma El Shenawy, Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer of Khazna Tech;
Sara Aziz, Founder and CEO of Safe Egypt Organization;
Mennan Awadallah, Head of Debt Capital Markets Commercial International Bank; and Dr. Heba El Dessouky, Interior Design Director at Emaar Misr properties.

In light of the Egyptian state’s permanent commitment and the deep belief of the political leadership, the need to maintain policies that support the economic empowerment of Egyptian women, enhance their access to leadership positions, and pay attention to reforms aimed at accelerating gender equality in business institutions.

The honoring of this year’s list of winners was witnessed by a group of ministers participating in the summit in an annual tradition, indicating the extent of confidence in the selection process that follows high-level, accurate, and scientific criteria, which annually pushes the entry of the lists of honorees into community works and comprehensive initiatives aimed at promoting development in the Egyptian state.
