NCW Organizes Workshop for Members of the Equal Opportunities Unit in 3 Ministries

The National Council for Women recently organized workshops in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance.

The workshops aimed to provide training for members of the Equal Opportunities Units and departments responsible for developing, monitoring, evaluating, and overseeing the strategic plan in the Ministries of Health, Population, Industry, and Supply.

Representatives from all affiliated bodies were also in attendance. The goal was to enhance the capabilities of the Equal Opportunities Units to achieve the indicators of the Women’s Empowerment Strategy and to implement the Ministry’s interventions in line with the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women 2030.

The workshops also focused on reviewing the strategic objectives and main and sub-programs in the new government work program 2024-2027, and on developing plans and activities that consider the needs of women in all categories within the Ministry’s work plan.

Additionally, the workshops aimed to establish indicators and a mechanism for periodic follow-up of the efforts made by the unit members in implementing the strategy axes.

The workshops were opened by Dr. Shaimaa Naeem. The workshop aims to enhance the capabilities of the Equal Opportunities Units in the Ministry to achieve the strategy indicators and implement the Ministry’s interventions since the launch of the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women 2030.

On his part, El-Sobky reviewed the steps for preparing the proposed budget according to the matrix of programs and performance that takes into account gender equality, equal opportunities, and women’s empowerment.

He further discussed the practical application to achieve the goals of the Ministry’s plan and referred to the definition and characteristics of the Program and Performance Budget Unit.
