The National Council for Women is currently running an awareness-raising media campaign called “The Egyptian Woman… The Key to Life”. The campaign started in March 2022 as part of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family.
Its main goal is to increase awareness of various issues affecting the Egyptian family, including population, positive education, and the importance of empowering women in society.
Dr. Ali Gomaa, Egypt’s former Grand Mufti and a member of the Council of Senior Scholars at Al-Azhar, and journalist Nashwa Al-Hofy, a council member, present the campaign, broadcast daily on various radio stations throughout Ramadan.
Additionally, the NCW, headed by Dr. Maya Morsi, and all its members congratulated Egypt’s women and girls on Egyptian Women’s Day, observed annually on March 16th. Dr. Maya Morsi stated: We commemorate Egyptian Women’s Day and their achievements in all disciplines. She is the Egyptian woman who stands tall and confident in her abilities and capabilities, allowing the world to recognize her distinguished status and praise what she has accomplished thanks to the political will of those who feel that empowering women is a national duty.
