Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the NCW, participated in the meeting Committee of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, joined by Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, Chairman of the National Arbitration Committee of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, Ambassador Hisham Badr, General Coordinator and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, Dr. Hisham Al-Helbawy, Assistant Minister of Local Development for National Projects, and representatives of the National Council for Women and the Ministries of Communication, Environment, and International Cooperation.
The meeting mainly focused on reviewing the executive position of the initiative in general.
It also included a review of the timetable for the activities of the second round of the initiative, the position on partnerships between various governmental agencies and the private sector inside and outside Egypt, the development of the winning projects in the first round, the position on training and capacity building, and the advertising campaign, as well as presenting the position on issues handled by the relevant ministries.
For her part, Dr. Maya Morsi praised the efforts made so far within the framework of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, stressing that the national initiative must include a training curriculum that educates community members in various governorates about its objectives, role, and importance in dealing with the environmental dimension and the effects of climate change.
This is in addition to working to highlight the winning projects in the competition organized in light of the initiative every year through various media.
Moreover, Morsi called on women in various governorates of the Republic to participate and compete in the initiative to present important projects for women that meet the basic conditions of being green and smart, meaning that they depend on modern technology.
