Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, chaired the first meeting of the joint committee between the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, and the National Council for Women, with the attendance of Sahar El-Sanbaty, Chairwoman of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood.
Coordinating Efforts to Improve Services
The meeting focused on the importance of coordinating efforts among the three parties on shared topics, particularly regarding the development of care facilities and enhancing the care of children. Minister Morsi emphasized that the ministry aims to strengthen collaboration with all state institutions to deliver better services to Egyptian citizens, prioritizing improvements in services for families and children, especially those in care homes and at risk.
Strengthening Institutional Collaboration
Morsi praised the significant role played by the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood and the National Council for Women in addressing social issues. She affirmed that the upcoming period would witness increased collaboration and knowledge exchange to maximize the benefits of ongoing efforts and achieve a positive impact both locally and internationally in areas such as family development, childhood issues, women’s rights, and elder care.
Supporting Families and Children in Egypt
The meeting was attended by Mohamed Al-Aqbi, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity for Strategic Communication and Media, Dena El-Sairafi, Assistant Minister for International Cooperation, the General Administration for Social Care team, and representatives from both councils.
This meeting marks an important step toward enhancing coordination among the relevant institutions, contributing to stronger efforts in supporting families and children in Egypt.
