L’Oréal Egypt, a leader in the cosmetics industry, has partnered with USAID Business Egypt, DAI, and Carerha to implement the “Tech Her Up” program, funded by USAID.
This collaboration aims to provide support for women in technology and entrepreneurship.
The cooperation agreement was signed on September 9, 2024, to enhance support for the “Tech Her Up” program.
This will involve providing access to technology experts, improving the program’s operational model, creating educational tracks aligned with current market demands, and ensuring equal opportunities for program graduates to access technology jobs in Egypt, thereby increasing women’s participation in the professional technology sector.
Dave Hughes, Managing Director of L’Oréal Egypt, emphasized their commitment to empowering women and integrating gender equality across various fields. He highlighted L’Oréal Egypt’s leadership in innovation and continuous support for women in technology.
Yomna Mustafa, Chief of Party for USAID Business Egypt, expressed delight in having L’Oréal as a strategic partner in the “Tech Her Up” program, which aims to empower women with education, tools, and opportunities in the field of technology.
This agreement builds on the successful strategic partnership between USAID Business Egypt and Carerha, with USAID as the strategic partner of Carerha Summit 2023.
L’Oréal also sponsored the summit, which focused on enhancing work-life balance and promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace for women in the Middle East and North Africa region.
