Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, unveiled all the free medical services provided within 63 days of launching the 100 Days of Health campaign nationwide.
In his statements, Dr. Khaled underscored that the total medical services provided in the 100 Days of Health campaign since its launch amounts to 23 million and 700 thousand free services to citizens nationwide.
He added that the 100 Days of Health campaign has provided 770,596 services since its launch as part of the President’s initiative to support women’s health.
Abdel Gaffar also pointed out that the total mental health services provided to citizens within the campaign amounted to 144,197, including emergency services, psychological treatment, addiction treatment for adults and adolescents, rehabilitation, psychological support, follow-up of complaints, and response to inquiries.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry had confirmed earlier the continuation of work to improve the medical services provided to citizens and to provide complementary medical equipment in hospitals, which include CT scan machines, magnetic resonance imaging, and interventional catheters.
According to Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry provided 256 “crash cars”, including electric shocks, medicines, and emergency supplies, which were distributed to emergency departments, according to the need and the rate of influx of medical cases.
Moreover, He referred to the provision of 6 incubators at the one-day surgery hospital in Al-Marj, equipping the intensive care department at Helwan General Hospital, providing 16 preterm and surgical incubators for Ahmed Maher Teaching Hospital, providing 11 nurseries at Al-Bajour Specialized Hospital, providing four pediatric incubators for Al-Farafra Hospital, and operating 16 pediatric intensive care beds at Farshout Hospital.
