Egypt’s Farida Khalil Wins Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Best Female Athlete 2025

Farida Khalil, the reigning world champion in modern pentathlon, has been awarded the prestigious Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Women’s Sports as the Best Female Athlete of 2025.

The award, held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the UAE”, celebrates outstanding achievements by women in sports across the UAE and beyond.

Since its establishment, the Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Women’s Sports has aimed to empower women in the sports sector, recognizing their dedication, excellence, and contributions to promoting athleticism and healthy lifestyles.

This accolade highlights Khalil’s remarkable accomplishments in the modern pentathlon, a demanding multi-sport discipline that tests athletes in fencing, swimming, equestrian show jumping, and a combined running and shooting event.
