In celebration of International Women’s Day, health stakeholders have unveiled the second cycle of the Women’s Health Accelerator Program. This initiative aims to foster female-led innovation in healthcare and tackle pressing women’s health challenges across the MENAT region.

Organon, a renowned private sector stakeholder, has joined forces with Flat6Labs to launch this transformative program.  The program’s mission is to accelerate the growth of 15 carefully selected startups operating in three key fields: family planning, fertility planning, and women’s wellness. Accordingly, these startups will receive invaluable support and mentorship.

The Women’s Health Accelerator Program will identify digital solutions to enhance accessibility, empowerment, and well-being for women.  Through cutting-edge innovation and collaboration, the program seeks to elevate women’s healthcare in these identified areas, with a strong focus on digital solutions.

By fostering collaboration between startups, mentors, and industry experts, the initiative aims to create a vibrant ecosystem that propels women’s health forward. The ultimate goal is to enable startups to launch their innovative solutions, effectively addressing the current challenges in women’s health.

In the inaugural round of the program held in 2023, three standout startups made remarkable strides. “OMGYNO,” founded by Doreen Toutikian and Elisabeth Milini, gained recognition for their groundbreaking work in Greece and Lebanon. Another remarkable startup, “Siira,” founded by Sandra Salame in Lebanon, was impressed with their innovative approach to women’s health. Lastly, “Maternally,” founded by Yasmin El-Mouallem in the UAE, made significant contributions to addressing maternal health challenges. These success stories serve as inspiring examples of the program’s potential to effect positive change in women’s healthcare.

Women’s Health Accelerator aims to create sustainable solutions that enhance accessibility and well-being. With a strong focus on digital innovation and collaboration, this initiative holds the promise of transforming women’s healthcare in the region, fostering a brighter and healthier future for all.
