Egyptian Minister of Emigration, Ambassador Soha Gendi, has expressed keenness on bolstering cooperation with the Dutch side in areas of training and qualifying Egyptian workers for the European labor market.

During a meeting with Dutch Ambassador in Cairo Peter Mollema, the minister said Egypt is keen on building on what has already been achieved in the domains of employment and regular migration.

Egypt has a real successful experiment in combating illegal migration, she said, noting that all the borders of Egypt are now fully controlled.

No illegal migrant boats have sailed from Egypt’s shores since 2016, she boasted.

Mollema praised the successful Egyptian cooperation with European countries to fight illegal migration.
