Egypt’s Minister of Local Development, Dr. Manal Awad, praised the quality of products and goods at the Cairo Bazaar, commending both the variety of offerings and the competitive prices, including discounts announced by the participating companies and producers.

During her visit to the Bazaar, which also saw the presence of the Minister of Supply and Cairo’s Governor, Dr. Awad highlighted the ongoing collaboration between her ministry, the Ministry of Supply, and Cairo Governorate to expand markets across the capital. This expansion aims to cover a broader range of neighborhoods, ensuring that all citizens have access to affordable and quality goods.

The Cairo Bazaar, featuring around 65 exhibitors specializing in handcrafted products from various governorates, offers a diverse range of goods, including items from local artisans registered on the “Ayadi Misr” platform. The exhibition also features exhibitors from the Asmarat development project, various productive families, and associations, including those from the differently-abled community, as well as leather goods companies.

Dr. Awad further emphasized that the ministry plans to provide free exhibition spaces for other governorates at the Cairo Bazaar, supporting the promotion of local products. Additionally, she announced plans to extend the duration of the event to help increase sales for exhibitors and ensure a consistent supply of goods and services for citizens. This move aligns with the broader strategy to support local industries and boost the availability of products across Egypt.
