Egypt’s Layan Omara Shines at Dutch Junior Open with Silver Finish in U13 Squash

Egypt’s Layan Ali Omara has secured second place in the Under-13 category at the Dutch Junior Open Squash Championship, one of the most prestigious youth tournaments in Europe.

Representing Wadi Degla Club, the 11-year-old rising star impressed coaches and spectators alike with her agility, precision, and competitive spirit throughout the multi-day tournament. The event drew elite young players from across the globe.

Omara, a first-year preparatory student at Stars School in Cairo, is already considered one of the most promising talents in Egypt’s deep bench of squash prodigies. Her performance in the Netherlands adds to the country’s growing reputation as a powerhouse in international junior squash.

Egypt continues to dominate the global squash scene at both junior and professional levels, and athletes like Omara are keeping the pipeline strong for the next generation.
